LMC support meetings are co-facilitated by founding members. We are not trained counsellors or mental health professionals.
The meeting format is informal, and there is no need to speak if you do not feel ready. These meetings offer you a confidential space to discuss the loss of a much-wanted baby, the stages of the grieving process, friends, family and support networks.
You can explore the feelings of hurt and anger that often accompany this complicated grief. We also share thoughts and ideas for gaining closure and healing.
We ask that attendees to the group respect each other’s perspectives and personal journeys, as well as the privacy of the group.
If you have any questions or concerns before attending a support group, please do not hesitate to contact us.
What We Do
The support we offer is based on the peer support model of the shared experience of our volunteers.
We are run solely by bereaved parents who wish to give a listening ear, practical advice and emotional support to others who now face a similar loss. We know what a lonely place it can be.
We offer LMC support groups in Dublin and Cork, as well as remote groups online. We are also contactable across the country by telephone or email for those who are in need of support.
