A common trend when bereaved parents speak and share their story is of how many amazing midwives have played an incredibly supportive and practical role in their journey.
They have helped parents who are at the lowest possible moment in their lives. They have sat and held mothers while they have cried after receiving complex diagnoses. They have supported fathers who have had to make heartbreaking calls home to family to break the bad news. They have helped parents wash and dress their precious babies and make memories to last a lifetime.
They remember parents when they return with their rainbow pregnancies, they wrap them in an extra layer of support to help them through the pregnancy and birth.
They are the advocates for women when needed.
